Mentoring
I realize that no meditation manual can fully replace personal guidance. Therefore, I offer personalized meditation retreat mentoring as a supplement to the manual.
The rate reflects the fact that much of my guidance is already freely available in the PDF version of the manual. To make mentoring accessible to those who can't afford the full rate, there is an option to request a discount (up to 100%). The rate is thus effectively flexible.
Mentoring is primarily for clarifying questions about the Jhana Training Manual and for personalized advice on developing samadhi during (solitary) meditation retreats. That said, you're welcome to ask anything you wish. I do not offer guided meditations (meaning we discuss meditation, but we do not meditate together online).
I call it mentoring, not teaching, for a reason. Apart from the manual, which provides a structured path through the samadhi stages, I don't follow a preset training program. Instead, our sessions are shaped by your questions—my role is to support you based on your specific situation, needs, and goals.
I'm open to speaking with anyone, regardless of meditation background and experience.

How It Works
You can prepay for my time, and then we can communicate in the following ways:

The prepaid time is valid for 6 months after payment.
You can choose any combination of the communication channels above to utilize your prepaid time, whether you're on a meditation retreat or not (see Examples). The only limitation is that the minimum duration deducted from your prepaid time for any call is 30 minutes (see Mentoring Policy for all details, including how time is deducted).
Calls should be booked in the Booking Calendar. Text and voice messages can be sent at any time, and I'll reply as soon as I can (if I don't reply within 5 days, the reply is free).
The rate is $1 per minute ($60/hour). You can pay any amount you wish by filling out the form below, and you'll receive the corresponding amount of time. If you can't afford this rate, please don't hesitate to request a discount—I usually approve such requests.

Book a Call
If you've prepaid your mentoring time, you can book a call here. The duration selected is for booking purposes only; the time deducted from your prepaid balance will be the actual duration of the call (30 minutes minimum).
The calendar doesn't allow multiple sessions in one booking. If you wish to book several sessions, you need to submit a separate booking request for each session, or you can arrange it directly with me.
Examples of How to Use Mentoring Time
Example for 2 hours of mentoring outside of a retreat (home practice):

Example for a 10-day solitary retreat with 5 hours of mentoring:

1-hour video call before the retreat to clarify questions about the Jhana Training Manual and prepare for the retreat (daily schedule, meditation technique, etc.)

4x30-minute check-in call during the retreat to discuss the practice on and off the cushion

1-hour wrap-up video call after the retreat – analyzing what went well, what didn't, and identifying potential improvements for future retreats

1 hour of voice or text messages along the way for clarifying brief questions
Example for a 2-week solitary retreat with 10 hours of mentoring:

1.5-hour video call to clarify questions about the Jhana Training Manual

1.5-hour video call to prepare for the retreat (daily schedule, meditation technique, etc.)

30-minute check-in call every other day of the retreat (7x total) to discuss the practice on and off the cushion

1.5-hour wrap-up video call after the retreat – analyzing what went well, what didn't, and identifying potential improvements for future retreats

1 hour of voice or text messages along the way for clarifying brief questions

1 hour of voice or text messages anytime after the retreat to discuss future practice or any additional questions
Mentoring Policy
GENERAL - The prepaid time is valid for 6 months after payment. - Non-refundable payment: The payment for mentoring is non-refundable unless Tomas cannot provide the prepaid mentoring within the 6-month period from purchase. - Next steps after payment: After completing your payment, you will receive an email with Tomas's contact information to begin the mentoring. - Availability: Tomas does not guarantee availability on short notice. If you need the mentoring sessions at a specific time (for example, during a meditation retreat), please arrange this with him in advance. - Liability Disclaimer: The mentoring sessions are intended for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. You are fully responsible for your own practice and decisions. Tomas is not legally liable for any outcomes that may result from applying the guidance provided during mentoring.
Writing (email, WhatsApp) - Time deduction policy: Tomas will indicate at the end of every message how long it took him to read and reply to your message, and that will be the time deducted. Please be aware that Tomas is a slow, detail-oriented writer. - Delayed response policy: If Tomas does not reply within 5 days, his reply will not count toward the prepaid time (i.e., responses after 5 days are free). If you require faster responses, please arrange this with Tomas in advance.
Voice Messaging (WhatsApp) - Time deduction policy: The duration of each voice message is rounded to the nearest full minute, with a minimum deduction of 1 minute per message. The total time deducted is the combined length of all voice messages exchanged (for example, if you send a 5-minute message and Tomas replies with a 7-minute message, 12 minutes are deducted). - Delayed response policy: If Tomas does not reply within 5 days, the duration of both your message and Tomas's reply will not count toward the prepaid time (i.e., responses after 5 days are free). If you require faster responses, please arrange this with Tomas in advance.
Video/Voice Call (Zoom, WhatsApp) - Time deduction policy: The minimum time deduction for any call is 30 minutes (you can have a shorter call, but 30 minutes will be deducted). The deducted time is rounded to the nearest full minute (not to half-hour increments). - See the Booking Calendar for the Cancellation policy.
